My life's been a bit of a roller coaster ride lately.. Not emotionaly, because emotionaly I am as bubbly happy as I ever am. But there id lots of work being done with my hands. I've got tired hands!! They need to sleep! Between playing violin, playing piano, throwing clay on a wheel every morning, and carving a violin all the other time, my hand muscles are starting to get a little bit tired. I've also a violin concert coming up in a week and a concert where I am singing, playing in the band, and being the accompianist for the choir coming up in two weeks. I am also buzzing along on the violin. Currently I am working on the scroll and neck (what many people commonly call the "handle"), if anyone wants to see progress check out my facebook page. Does anyone think I should put up pictures of my progress? I don't know....But I am taking pictures right along as I carve, so it is possible to see mini step by mini step right in order!!

What say you?

So my tendonitis isn't completely gone but it has been feeling SO MUCH BETTER..I can now play violin and piano for longer periods of time pain-free, and I can also sculpt with my right hand in art class! I am actually a pretty good sculptor with my left hand..it has sort of become habit that in art hand I have been naturally sculpting with my left hand, and eating most meals with my left hand..And I have turned out to be fairly proficient in the sculpting and eating!
But enough about that..
So this weekend has just been totally awesome. Mum and I drove out to Ithaca friday night, cause yesterday I had a state-level 4-h presentation to give at Cornell. So I spent my saturday freezing in a kilt at Cornell. It was a fun freezing tho. I also had the amazing experience of shopping in walmart in a kilt and going to dinner at an upscale restaurant (where all the men wear suits and all the ladies dresses) in a kilt. Then again, my mom was in a t-shirt and jeans...So, we were the epitome of cool! Most awesome!

Today I spent the day with the great Ellie, (who I shall never call her that in real life..it'd be too weird.) and we jammed together and had lunch and..walked her son's cats... and it was a pretty awesome fun day. The cat thing was pretty randomly cool.
:D

Ouch. That hurt.

Sat Sep 13, 2008, 4:37 PM
Ouch.
Tendonitis is bad, and it hurts. I got tendonitis while at camp from playing my violin too much. Gosh what a band geek I sound like.
Anyways, for about a week I haven't been able to raise my right arm straight up in the air without being in ouchy pain and over the course of several days I have learned how to become left handed. The tendonitis makes doing anything, like holding books between classes or eating or playing piano or just walking around, hurt, (granted it was a mild hurt but if you have a mild hurt for long enough it gets really annoying) so I learned to throw a football, eat, sculpt/throw clay, and carry books left handed. For those of you who have been reading this, all the while thinking, "what the heck is tendonitis?"
it is an over-use injury (an injury that occurs from doing something too much) where the tendons that help move some part of your body get worked so much they get inflamed and start hurting, at first only when you are moving that muscle and then following that you get a 24/7 ache of the dull and burning variety in the general muscle area. And the only way to make it better is to rest the muscle and ice it and take advil. Needless to say I was kinda freakishly excited yesterday when I could play my violin for the first time in about 2 weeks and be about 99.9% pain free!! I can't wait to get better..every day I feel a little more specatacular and I love it!

Other news...My boyfriend, (now my ex-boyfriend) and I had a mutual break up around a week ago. Luckily it was not of the tears and screaming fight sort of break-up, just a mutual acknoledgement that the relationship wasn't working out and that we would be better matched as friends.

School also started, and my art classes this year are crazy!! I am so excited because art is essentially taking over my life this year and I love it!

Well, gotta run!..or walk..or crawl...whatever.

Well, I'm back!
And ridonkulously tired and sad. I miss camp so much~ It was freakishly awesome...I may have a few pictures up soon but right now I am just sooooo tired. I stayed up between 12 and 2 am (california time, which is 3 hours behind new york time) and woke up every morning between 7 and 7:30. And between the last day of camp and traveling thru the airport, which was a fri/sat/sunday morning excursion all comibined, I got a whopping 6 hours of sleep. So last night I went to bed at the super late time of 8:15 pm and woke up at about 9 am, then took a nap from 11:30 to 1:00, and now it is a few hours later and I am still really tired.
For those of you who are interested in a cd, there is one set from our new cd on our myspace page, [link] It is called Bach N' Bonnie, and the picture that acompanies it isn't our actual cd cover or anything, it was a actually a picture taken way earlier this summer for a newspaper advertisement of a gig we were having. So , the cd cover is way cool and professionaly done. Whereas the picture on myspace is just a random picture taken by our guitarist. not a horrid picture, just not the right one. Our actual cd cover is this, [link] I am the person way on the left.
hmmm.. Now I have really nothing more to say...soo...tired....must...sleep....

:)
